Anlässlich der Verleihung des Shimon-Peres-Preises im Dezember 2025 in Tel Aviv reiste Jurymitglied Kerstin Griese nach Israel. Als Parlamentarische Staatssekretärin beim Bundesminister für Arbeit und Soziales und Bundestagsabgeordnete der SPD vertritt sie in Berlin den nordrhein-westfälischen Wahlkreis Mettmann.

Am 29. September empfing der Direktor des Landesbüros Dr. Gil Yaron eine Delegation der Landespolizei Nordrhein-Westfalens in Tel Aviv. Das Landesbüro unterstützt die Landesbehörden bei der Aufnahme und der Aufrechterhaltung von Kontakten nach Israel. Die Kooperation und der Austausch mit israelischen Experten helfen unter anderem dabei, die Sicherheit der Bewohner unseres Landes besser zu sichern.

On September 29^th, Director Dr. Gil Yaron welcomed the delegation from North Rhine-Westphalia State Police in Tel Aviv. The Office of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia supports state authorities in establishing and maintaining contacts with Israel. Cooperation and exchange with Israeli experts help, among other things, to better ensure the safety of the residents of our state.

Am 10.07.2025 besuchte die diesjährige Kohorte des KEDEM Fellow Programm das Büro des Landes in Israel kurz vor ihrer Deutschland-Reise. Zunächst stellte Anna Taube die Arbeit des Büros und Nordrhein-Westfalen vor und übergab an langjährige Partnerin des Büros Tamar Tuchler (Council for Conservation of Heritage Sites in Israel). Sie und Eran Mordovich (ICOMOS/ Israel Antiquities Authority) führten gemeinsam mit der Gruppenleiterin v. KEDEM, Hila Alon, durch das Vorbereitungsseminar.

On July 10, 2025, this year's cohort of the KEDEM Fellow Program visited the Office of State of NRW in Israel shortly before their trip to Germany. Anna Taube first introduced the office's work and activities as well as the characteristics and history of North Rhine-Westphalia, then handed over to Tamar Tuchler (Council for Conservation of Heritage Sites in Israel), a long-time partner of the office. She and Eran Mordovich (ICOMOS/Israel Antiquities Authority), along with Hila Alon, KEDEM group leader, led the preparatory seminar.

The KEDEM Leadership Program in Israel is a two‑year national training initiative designed for heritage and cultural conservation leadership across the country. It's offered by the Guilford Glazer Faculty of Business & Management at Ben‑Gurion University in Be’er Sheva, in partnership with key national bodies such as the Israel Antiquities Authority, the Nature & Parks Authority, the Ministry of Jerusalem & Heritage, and the Council for Heritage Site Preservation

Am 29.04.25 begrüßten Dr. Gil Yaron und Susanne Düwel vom Büro des Landes NRW In Israel Herr Michael Gryschek vom Städtepartnerschaftsverein Köln-Tel Aviv-Yafo. In Yafo unterstützt der Verein den Friedenskindergarten „Cologne Day Care Peace Center“. In diesem Jahr feiert der Verein 30-jähriges Vereinsjubiläum!

On April 29, 2025, Dr. Gil Yaron and Susanne Düwel from the NRW Office in Israel welcomed Mr. Michael Gryschek from the Cologne-Tel Aviv-Yafo Twin City Assoc.. In Yafo, the association supports the kindergarden "Cologne Day Care Peace Center." This year the association celebrates its 30th anniversary!

Der kürzlich gegründete Verein JewLif - Jüdisches Leben in Europa e.V. möchte jüdisches Leben in Deutschland und Europa unterstützen und sichtbar machen. Im Zuge der Israelreise des Generalsekretärs Andrei Kovacs besuchte er das Landesbüro NRW in Israel und traf Dr. Gil Yaron und Susanne Düwel.

The recently founded association JewLif - Jewish Life in Europe e.V. aims to support and raise awareness for Jewish life in Germany and Europe. During Secretary General Andrei Kovacs's trip to Israel, he visited the NRW Office in Israel and met with Dr. Gil Yaron and Susanne Düwel.

Der Verantwortliche für Internationale Beziehungen der Stadt Nahariya Ely Oknim besuchte am 29. April das Israel-Büro und traf sich mit dem Leiter Dr. Gil Yaron sowie der Fachbereichsleiterin für Kultur und Wissenschaft Susanne Düwel. Dabei wurde er über die verschiedenen Aktivitäten des Landes informiert und eine mögliche Kooperation im Rahmen der Initiative Shalom Chaveruth besprochen.

Ely Oknim, who is responsible for international relations in the city of Nahariya, visited the Israel Office on April 29 and met with its director Dr. Gil Yaron and Susanne Düwel, Head of Division of Culture and Science. He was informed about the NRW’s various activities in Israel and discussed possible cooperation as part of the Shalom Chaveruth initiative.

Am 25.04.2025 trafen Avner Erez, Head of Sales und Sivan Mizrahi, Project Manager von IVC Data and Insights im Landesbüro Dr. Gil Yaron zur Besprechung potenzieller Kooperationsmöglichkeiten - insbesondere zur Weiterentwicklung der Plattform NRW.Global Connect. Später trafen sie Gabriele Tabach, die NRW.Global Business Repräsentantin im Büro des Landes NRW in Israel.

On April 25, 2025, Avner Erez, Head of Sales, and Sivan Mizrahi, Project Manager of IVC Data and Insights, met with Dr. Gil Yaron at the NRW Office in Israel to discuss potential cooperation opportunities—particularly to further develop the NRW.Global Connect platform. Later, they met with Gabriele Tabach, the NRW.Global Business Representative at the NRW Office in Israel.

Mitte April 2025 besuchte Olaf Wiegand, Schulleiter des Albrecht Dürer Gymnasium in Hagen das Landesbüro NRW in Israel und traf den Leiter des Büros, Dr. Gil Yaron. Im Zuge der Anbahnung einer Schulpartnerschaft mit der Givat Haviva International School lernte der Schulleiter vor Ort die Schule und Mitglieder der Schulgemeinde kennen. Die Schulpartnerschaft wird in diesem Jahr vom Landesbüro unterstützt.

In mid-April 2025, Olaf Wiegand, principal of the Albrecht Dürer Gymnasium in Hagen, visited the NRW Office in Israel and met with its director, Dr. Gil Yaron. In the course of initiating a school partnership with Givat Haviva International School, the principal met the school and members of the school community during his visit to Israel. The school partnership is being supported by NRW Office in Israel this year.

Mehrere Projekte, die im Zuge der Initiative Shalom Chaveruth unterstützt werden konnten, setzen ihre Partnerschaft in 2025 fort, so z.B. die Kooperation zwischen Mashiv HaRuah und dem Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund KV Witten e.V., mit dem TherapeutInnen zum Fachaustausch aus Israel und NRW zusammenkommen.  Am 24.04.2025 traf Dr. Gil Yaron Vertreter der israelischen Organisation, Eyal Kravitz, Geschäftsführer und Rona Yaniv, Partnerships Manager, im Büro des Landes NRW in Israel zum Austausch.

Numerous projects supported through the Shalom Chaveruth initiative will continue their partnerships in 2025, including the collaboration between Mashiv HaRuah and the Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund KV Witten e.V., which brings together mental health professionals from Israel and North Rhine-Westphalia. On April 24, 2025, Dr. Gil Yaron met with representatives of Mashiv HaRuah, Eyal Kravitz, CEO and Rona Yaniv, Partnerships Manager at the NRW office in Israel to discuss future plans.

Zu Beginn des neuen Jahres 2025 traf Leiter des Büros, Dr. Gil Yaron, den Generaldirektor des Ministeriums für Regionale Zusammenarbeit Israels, Gilad Shadmon am 01.01.2025. Es wurden Möglichkeiten zur trilateralen Kooperation ausgelotet. In den Bereichen der Wissenschaft, Wirtschaft und Nachhaltigkeit sowie Städtepartnerschaften wurden Möglichkeiten trilateraler Zusammenarbeit erkannt.

To start off 2025 Director of the Office, Dr. Gil Yaron, met with Director General of Israel's Ministry of Regional Cooperation, Gilad Shadmon, on January 1, 2025. Opportunities for trilateral cooperation were identified in the areas of science, business and sustainability, as well as city partnerships.
