Am 7.4. richtete das LB ISR in Kooperation mit der Deutschen  Botschaft in Tel Aviv einen Netzwerkabend anlässlich des Israel-Besuches der Präsidentin des Bundesamts für Sicherheit in der Informationstechnik (BSI) Claudia Plattner aus. Die hochrangige Delegation der in Nordrhein-Westfalen ansässigen Bundesbehörde traf in den Räumlichkeiten des Landesbüros Vertreter aus Israels Wirtschaft, Forschung sowie Verwaltung im Bereich Cybersicherheit. Der Austausch soll dazu dienen, unter anderem auch Nordrhein-Westfalen mit führenden Partnern in Israel zu vernetzen.

On April 7, the LB ISR hosted a networking evening in cooperation with the German Embassy in Tel Aviv to mark the visit to Israel by Claudia Plattner, President of the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI). The high-ranking delegation from the North Rhine-Westphalia based federal authority met representatives from Israel's economy, research and administration in the field of cyber security on the premises of our office. The purpose of the exchange is to connect North Rhine-Westphalian institutions with leading partners in Israel.

Vor Kurzem zu Besuch in Nordrhein-Westfalen besuchten am 21.03.24 der Vize-Präsident des Academic College of Tel Aviv-Yaffo Yariv Sultan gemeinsam mit Kollegin Idit Seltenreich das Büro des Landes in Israel. In NRW haben die Vertreter der Fachhochschule Kontakte zu ähnlichen Bildungseinrichtungen gesucht. Zum Austausch über weitere Anbahnungen trafen sie nun den Leiter Dr. Yaron und Stellv. Leiter & Fachbereichsleiter für Schule und Bildung Dr. Beier als auch Fachbereichsleiterin für Kultur und Wissenschaft Frau Düwel.

Recently on a visit to North Rhine-Westphalia, the Vice President of the Academic College of Tel Aviv-Yaffo Yariv Sultan and colleague Idit Seltenreich now visited the NRW office in Israel on March 21, 2024. In North Rhine-Westphalia, the representatives of the college sought contacts with similar educational institutions. To discuss further initiatives, they now met the Director, Dr. Yaron, Deputy Director & Head of Department for School and Education Dr. Beier and Head of Department Culture and Science, Ms. Düwel.

Zum Kennenlernen empfingen am Mittwoch, den 20.03.24, Dr. Gil Yaron, Dr. Nikolaj Beier und Susanne Düwel eine Vertreterin des Darca School Netzwerks. 12.03.2024: Im Zuge des Shalom Chaveruth Förderprogramms haben Petra Hemming und Roman Salyutov, Vorstandsmitglieder des Verein zur Förderung der Städtepartnerschaft Ganey Tikva-Bergisch Gladbach e.V., mit dem Büro des Landes in Israel Kontakt aufgenommen. Der Verein steht in engem Kontakt mit dem Landrat Bergisch Gladbach. Gemeinsam möchten sie den Kibbutz Nir Oz unterstützen und solidarisch zur Seite stehen. Dafür entwickeln sie mit nach Kiryat Gat evakuierten BewohnerInnen des Kibbutz eine Projektidee.

As part of the Shalom Chaveruth program, Petra Hemming and Roman Salyutov of the Association for the promotion of the town partnership Ganey Tikva-Bergisch Gladbach e.V. contacted the NRW Office in Israel. The association is in close contact with the Bergisch Gladbach municipality director, with whom they would like to support the Kibbutz Nir Oz in solidarity. The association is developing a project idea together with the Nir Oz Community, who has been evacuated to Kiryat Gat.

11.03.24: Initially meeting in September 2023 in Dortmund at the “Mayors Summit Against Antisemitism “, the Executives of the Center for Jewish Impact, Mrs. Gomes de Mesquita and Mr. Singer and the team of the Office of North Rhine-Westphalia in Israel met again in their offices in Tel Aviv, Israel, to explore possibilities for further, far reaching cooperation. By coincidence both offices are in located in the Midtown Office Tower. 

Am Mittag des 13. Februar 2024 empfingen Dr. Gil Yaron und Dr. Nikolaj Beier im Büro des Landes in Israel Herrn Reinhold Robbe (ehem. Mitglied des Deutschen Bundestages und Wehrbeauftragter des Deutschen Bundestages, ehem. Präsident der Deutsch-Israelischen Gesellschaft DIG) und Herrn Freo Majer (Regisseur und Kurator). Hierbei tauschten sie sich aus zu einem möglichen Projekt zum Thema LGBTQI* Soldatinnen und Soldaten im Rahmen des Programms Shalom Chaveruth.

At midday on 13 February 2024, Dr. Gil Yaron and Dr. Nikolaj Beier received Mr. Reinhold Robbe (former member of the German Bundestag and Parliamentary Commissioner for the Armed Forces as well as former President of the German-Israel Society) and Mr Freo Majer (director and curator) at the country's office in Israel. They discussed a possible project on the topic of LGBTQI* soldiers as part of the Shalom Chaveruth programme.
